About Vangàrd

Vangàrd is a family owned business, which was established in 1948 by Anders Vang Nielsen. At that time, we produced only women’s lingerie. The philosophy has always been to be proactive, and constantly improving the development of quality, fit and design.

The company produces knitwear and has delivered sports- and leisurewear for the largest companies in the world. Today, our production focuses on functional wear, cycling and running gear – 60% of our products are exported to Europe.

The company is 100% owned by the family Vang. Director Bo Vang, the third generation has taken over the business in 2013 after his father Flemming Vang Nielsen, who was the second generation after the founder Anders Vang Nielsen. Vangard Retail A/S is a vertical company that has its own production facilities in Denmark, Poland and Ukraine. We knit our own fabric and we have extensive experience with technical qualities to the sport and industry.

History

1948: The company was founded in Sunds near Herning, Denmark

1972: A part of sewing department was moved to another place in Denmark

1992 - 1993: The production was moved to Poland

1997: Joint venture production in Latvia

2001: Vangàrd Retail A/S was founded (daughter company of Vangàrd Sportswear ApS)

2002 - 2003: New Production plan in Ukraine (100% owned of Vangàrd Sportswear ApS)

2013: Vangàrd Retail A/S bought the mother company Vangàrd Sportswear ApS
